Lite Industrial – Printing Press Operator &/or Expeditor

Sky Unlimited, Inc. is a family-owned and managed business that is looking for an entry-level Light Industrial – Printing Press Operator &/or Expeditor. This position sets up and operates printing equipment with customer-supplied artwork, organizes jobs, and constantly monitors quality with a keen eye for detail. Additionally, this position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and assisting in printing press maintenance. This position assists with any tasks that support and maintain the production, printing, manufacturing, and expediting process.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate and maintain the function of a printing press and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Ensure print quality standards are being met and maintained by carefully reading job orders’ spec sheets to verify an order’s product color, size, quantity, art placement, etc.
  • Maintain a high print quality and attention to detail.
  • Meet schedules, deadlines, and expected throughput production rates.
  • Perform adjustments and preventive maintenance procedure to assigned printing press(es).
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualities Desired in Successful Candidate:

  • Good troubleshooting & critical thinking skills.
  • Basic computer skills with ability to learn new software.
  • The ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Quick learner and ability to adapt to different tasks and roles.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit or stand for the full shift as the role requires.
  • Must be able to repeat the same motions for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

  • Entry level

Salary: $18.00 per hour
