Job Type: Full-time
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- 8:15 am – 5:00 pm
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime as needed
Work Location: In Person
Salary: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour based on several factors including the candidate’s education, work experience, specific job duties, certifications etc.

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detailed-oriented Human Resource Coordinator to join our team. This position will be responsible for all employee recruitment, retention, relations, as well as new hire orientation, benefits administration, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. and all other HR related tasks for the entire company. As you will see from the job responsibilities and qualities, listed below this is a “wear many hats” type of position requiring the ideal candidate to be organized, punctual, creative, reliable, loyal, experienced, strategist, capable of thinking outside the box and have a strong work ethic that should enjoy working for an established, almost 40 year old Kentucky corporation, under 2nd generation ownership, family business that is preparing for phase 2 of a large growth campaign in people, equipment and physical buildings. Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for all human resources functions of recruitment, hiring, onboarding, extending, and negotiating offers of employment and employee relations.
- Function as a strategic advisor to senior management team
- Oversee benefit and compensation plans to ensure cost efficiencies and allure to retain top talent
- Provided leadership and guidance for talent acquisition, employee career development, succession planning, retention programs, training, and leadership development.
- Develop strong collaborative partnerships at all levels within and outside the organization.
- Apply critical thinking skills to positively propose solutions while monitoring successful outcomes.
- Train, communicate pertinent information to the team.
- Oversee new employee orientation and recurrent training.
- Skilled in organizational design, workforce planning, talent development and compensation
- Experienced in adapting and responding to organizational changes.
- Create and implement programs to drive retention and workforce planning.
- Interpret and apply company policies, benefits, practices, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
- Maintain records, compiled reports on personnel related data of hires, turnover, employee performance appraisals, wage progression and absenteeism.
- Handle all workers compensation claims and filings.
- Actively & accurately manage employees personnel files with: pay rates, I-9, W4’s, evaluations etc. both physical and electronically on a daily basis
- Solely responsible for the administration of the entire benefits package throughout the company.
- Capable of communicating with people of all job levels & experience accurately & professionally.
- Responsible for updating the current employee handbook with needed policies and procedures.
- Implement and conduct the Annual Review process for all managers and their employees.
- Implement Job Description process for any new and/or all Jobs.
- Managing day to day employee relations – including but not limited to: disciplinary actions, coaching sessions, grievances, harassment, de-escalation, etc.
- Assist employees & accounting with all insurance, 401k & like deductions.
- Conduct background and reference checks
- Provided support for managers when dealing with employee relations issues.
- Initiate & Complete employment verifications, background checks and drug screens.
- Setup & maintain HRIS system, to generate requested reports as needed.
- Responsible for generating weekly and bi-weekly time, attendance, PTO reports for payroll.
- Create, implement & keep up to date OSHA safety compliance written plan.
Qualities Desired in Successful Candidate
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices
- Experience with ERP Netsuites HR package
- Must posses advanced Excel Skills
- Staffing recruiting, screening, interviewing, and onboarding knowledge and experience
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills
- Excellent negotiator and problem solver

- Detailed and consistent record keeping

- Must be able to pass drug screening and criminal background check

- Candidate must have stable and consistent work history with excellent references.
- Attendance: defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual, and predictable attendance. Candidate must maintain attendance at a level above minimum standards of employee handbook, due to the critical nature of this position while being able to maintain the ability to work regular hours and shifts, overtime before and after shifts and on weekends, based on times of plant related emergencies.
- Excellent computer skills, knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record-keeping
